John Linnehan- Executive Director                                                                                                            Email John Linnehan

John (aka Johnny) Linnehan was the 3rd generation of the Linnehan family to be involved in various business ventures.  He has been involved with real estate of all types, and he has owned and operated retail businesses in several different industries.  He is most recognized for his contributions within the automobile industry.

Most important to him, Johnny is recognized as dedicated, committed, follower of Jesus.  He has spoken, preached, lectured, and taught about the importance of each person developing his or her own personal relationship with God, through a personal relationship with God’s only Son, Jesus Christ.

In mid-2008 John started a non-profit 501C3 ministry called The Gospel.  The Gospel’s ONLY goal was to fulfill the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 by making disciples of Jesus, baptizing those disciples and teaching those disciples to make more disciples.  As in Matthew 9:9-13, John loves to take the Good News about Jesus out of the church and into our communities where the unsaved people are.   After a 40 year business career, John, in mid-2010, completed the sales of ALL his businesses.  He is now serving “full time” DAILY following his Savior,  Jesus.   John’s personal goal and prayer is for God to save many souls in Hancock County where he was born and still lives.

In November of 2011, Johnny following God’s leading started a church in Trenton, Maine, simply called “THE Good  News FELLOWSHIP”.  John’s vision for “THE Good News FELLOWSHIP” is to draw un-churched, unsaved and saved people to a dynamic, alive, “out of the box” experience that will introduce them to Jesus, keep them  coming back for more and encourage them to keep bringing their friends, relatives, associates and neighbors along with them.  Johnny is famous for asking and answering the following question:  “Do you know 100% for sure your spirit and your soul would go immediately to Heaven to live with God forever when your body dies physically here on this Earth?”

John is married to Heather, his high school sweetheart, and she is still his best friend.  They celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on August 16, 2011.  Heather said “Those 42 years have been 5 of the best years of my life.”  They have 2 grown sons, Ryan and Chadd, 2 Daughters-in-love, Stephanie and Jennifer, and 7 PERFECT grandchildren. Chris Zavala - Youth Director                                                                             Email Chris Zavala

Chris was born and raised in Indiana. After high school, God led him to the Word of Life Bible Institute, a two year school that focuses on studying Bible and ministry. It was there that he developed a passion to reach the youth of America with the Gospel of Christ. It was also there that he met his beautiful wife Katie, his best friend and partner in life and ministry.

Chris and Katie were married in August of 2011. They are currently raising support to serve as missionaries to the United States with Word of Life Local Church Ministries. In the interim, the Lord has led them here to Hancock County where Chris has joined the team at the Good News Center as the director of Youth Nation. Chris’ goal is to reach the teens of Hancock County for Christ and train them to be lifelong followers of Jesus.

Chris’ desire is to emulate the Apostle Paul’s sentiment in Acts 20:24—“But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”

Garrett Rucinski - Discipleship/Worship Director                                           Email Garrett Rucinski

Garrett Rucinski was born and raised in Ohio, where he would eventually study Communication at Cedarville University. While at Cedarville he met his amazing and awesome wife Kylee, who after two years of persuading and guitar playing he was blessed enough to marry in May of 2011. They soon felt called to Maine, and Garrett and Kylee would eventually become more and more involved in the ministry of reaching Hancock county for Christ. While puzzled at first to where God would use his degree in Communication, Garrett soon began to see that God wanted him to use his gifts to build up and encourage continually growing relationships with God in the area. The Good News Center soon brought Garrett on board to oversee the role of Discipleship and Worship Pastor. Garrett’s objective is to aide The Good News Center in discipling and reaching new believers. He also is responsible for encouraging discipleship in not only the various ministries of The Good News Center but also the team members who are involved. Garrett is also the Worship Pastor for The Good News Center, and oversees weekly praise music in the youth and church ministries. Garrett loves to rock out on the guitar and for good reasons he is frequently told by his wife to lower the volume as to not disturb the neighbors. Garrett and his wife currently reside in Ellsworth, Maine, and have an adorable cat named Phoenix. Garrett’s favorite verse is Phillipians 4:6-8. When you pray for Garrett, pray that he would be able to lead his wife and others in getting to know our loving father every day.
